Suzy Makes Cupcakes – The Film
With a script by Bethany Maines, directed by Jayson Therrien, starring Allison Lynch, this short is currently showing at festivals. Based on the short story published in Shotgun Honey: Recoil, this short film tells the story of mobster Johnny Stills, who is surprised to discover that his previously compliant wife Suzy has decided that she’s taken all she’s going to from Johnny but she will be taking the mob’s money and skipping town with a well-conceived plan that leaves Johnny at first enraged, and then chilled to the bone.
